VICE ADMIRAL TIMOTHY JAMES "TJ" WHITE (RET.)

Chief, Texas Cyber Command

Timothy James “TJ” White, Chief, Texas Cyber Command, of Boerne Texas, is a retired U.S. Navy Vice Admiral and founder of OneNetworkConnection, LLC. He is a Professor-of-Practice at the Naval Postgraduate School, affiliated with the Military Cyber Professionals Association and the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society, and a trustee of the Southwest Research Institute. Joining the Navy in 1983 from Spring, Texas, he was honorably discharged in 2020 after 37 years of service. During his time in the Navy, he served as Commander of the United States Fleet Cyber Command/United States TENTH Fleet/ United States Navy Space Command, and previously as the Commander of the United States Cyber National Mission Force/USCYBERCOM. He is the former Director of Intelligence for United States Indo-Pacific Command. White received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a Master of Science in Systems Technology from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master of Science in Strategic Resource Management from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.”

Ken Payton | Director, Detection and Response at Avalara

Ken is currently the Director of Detection and Response at Avalara, where he spearheads Security Operations (SOC), Incident Response (SIRT), Threat Intelligence, and Insider Threat functions. With a passion for fortifying organizations against evolving cyber threats, he has built and led high-performing security teams that proactively defend critical assets.

Vincent Passaro | Head of Attacker Engineering: Abuse Research Group (ARG), Threat Detection, Red Team, Penetration Testing, and Cyber Intelligence

Vince currently leads the Abuse Research Group (ARG), Threat Detection, Red Team, Penetration Testing, and Cyber Intelligence programs at Stripe, where he utilizes over 20 years of extensive security industry experience to strengthen security measures and improve fraud detection, mitigation, and investigative efforts. Before joining Stripe, Vince served at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he established a world-class incident response team and threat intelligence capability. In this role, he addressed some of the most complex security challenges faced by AWS, Amazon, and their customers. Vince was instrumental in consolidating and unifying security response efforts, ensuring they were executed with the speed and agility required to tackle challenges at AWS-scale effectively.

The event will take place at the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star. The hotel is part of the Dallas Cowboys’ world headquarters and is conveniently located a short distance from DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport. It is surrounded by multiple dining options, shopping facilities, and entertainment options.
